Andi Agnew

Andi was born in Jackson and lived in South Jackson until the age of 3. At that time, her parents moved her to Crystal Springs, where she spent her formative years. But she never adjusted to small town, country life, and after graduating from Mississippi College in 2000, she moved to Memphis for graduate school and a taste of big(ger) city life. Three years later, she found herself back in Jackson, something she had previously sworn off.

She has worked in the non-profit sector for the last 10 years, and currently serves as the Programs Manager for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She loves Jackson and has been very involved in the community. She has written for the Jackson Free Press for about four years and was music editor from 2007-2008. She has also written for BOOM Jackson and some online publications. She has been on the planning committees for Chick Ball, V-Day, and Crossroads Film Festival, and has served on the board of Animal Rescue Fund and Jackson Progressives.

She lives in Belhaven with her dog, Sally.
