Belhaven Improvement Association
Mission: The BIA was established in 1965 by a group of neighborhood residents concerned with protecting and preserving the unique historic character of Belhaven, the neighborhood bounded by State Street on the west, I-55 on the east, Riverside Drive on the north, and Fortification Street on the south. BIA’s objectives remain much the same almost 40 years later, with more than 250 members led by a 15-person volunteer board of directors working hard to protect, preserve and improve our neighborhood.
