OK, you could go to one of those big-a** sporting-good emporiums where a bored teenager doesn�t care whether or not you buy anything, and doesn�t know a kayak from a ski jacket. But why would you? It is locally owned, it is staffed with people who know and care, and it offers all the coolest sporting-goods labels that make you look oh-so-Colorado chic. Yes, some of the items cost a bit more than at your local discounter, but they will also last longer and be more durable when it counts: out in the elements. Repeat after me: Quality over quantity. Think global, shop local.
