* The Crossroads Film Festival is an indie-film festival generally held the last weekend in March or the first weekend in April. Films are submitted, review, and screened from around the state, the country and the world. The festival also features receptions, workshops, and after-parties for each day of its four-day run in Flowood and Jackson. The 2009 festival will be April 2-5.
* OUToberfest is a festival held in Jackson Mississippi celebrating LGBT arts and entertainment. It features workshops, socials, and a concert. It is usually held during the second weekend of October and is recognizes National Coming Out Day.
* The Free Expression Exposition Music and Arts Festival is a new “work in progress” benefit music and arts festival held in Florence, MS.
* Jubilee Jam is an annual summer music festival held in downtown Jackson.
*The Jackson Street District in Ridgeland has two annual festivals: The Dog Days Festival in June, which includes a BBQ cook-off, events for the dogs, arts, and tons of live music & The Jackson Street Fall Festival, in October, which is an art festival with great food, live music, a 5K run, and more.
