The Fondren ArtMix is one of the coolest arts events in the city, and it happens every first Thursday during cool weather. The ArtMix series kicks off Sept. 6 at 5 p.m. with shops and galleries open with free goodies throughout the Fondren District. The JFP’s table (with free wine and giveaways) is always on the first floor of Fondren Corner. Other Fondren arts events are Symphony at Sunset on Sept. 27 and the Winter Art Show on Nov. 29, both at The Cedars (4145 Old Canton Road). On Nov. 15, wander through the shops of Fondren for “Fondren Unwrapped,” one of the best ways to start holiday shopping.
