Jackson Golf World
Jackson Golf World was a locally-owned miniature golf course and family entertainment center located for many years at 5124 North State Street.
In addition to miniature golf, Jackson Golf World boasted a driving range, golf pro shop, arcade, quarter-mile go-kart track, and coin-operated baseball and softball batting cages (where is this available in Jackson today?).
In the 1980’s, Jackson Golf World’s competition was Putt Putt Golf, which had two locations in the Greater Jackson area.
Even though Jackson Golf World was probably an overall better entertainment experience than Putt Putt Golf, it must have been frustrating to them that people always referred to miniature golf as “playing Putt Putt.”
