The Jackson Zoo has been a leading family attraction for people across the state and beyond for nearly 90 years. The Jackson Zoo boasts an animal collection representing over 200 species and some 730 individual animals that provide glimpses of native wildlife from nearly every part of the globe.
The Jackson Zoo is situated within the historic 100-acre Livingston Park and welcomes approximately 200,000 visitors annually from Mississippi and surrounding states. 55,000 school children make their way to the Zoo througout the school year to experience one of a kind learning!
Visitors enjoy more than 50 acres of exhibits, including the popular African Rain Forest Boardwalk, the African Savannah, Wilderness Mississippi, Jewels of South America, the Discovery Zoo and others.
Guests can also enjoy fare from the Elephant House Cafe, purchase keepsake merchandise from the Jackson Zoo Trading Company. While you’re here, have a picnic in Livingston Park and take a ride on the Endangered Species Carousel or the train.
