With a pink 110 camera in hand as a child, I never realized my hobby would turn into a way to express myself while providing others with lasting moments that can always be looked back on. Photography has taken me so many places and opened my eyes to much more than poses and people. It has shown me expressions and lifestyles as well as landscapes and stories. My most recent ventures have been graphic design and I still enjoy craftsy things on the side. In 2005 I joined the American Child Photographers Charity Guild and make every effort to use my ability and talent to help the community and other organizations that may need it.
I always fought with my personal style and wondered if I ever really had one to begin with. When my daughter was born, I missed out on all the sweet “new baby” pictures. She was in the NICU for over 2 months and I wanted to absorb her so much, I rarely took any pictures of her when she finally came home. Eventually, I picked up my camera and saw what I wanted to see when I photograph other people and their children. I began capturing that in my child and it led me on a personal journey to the style that I always had, but never recognized before!
