Krystal Parking Lot - I-55
The parking lot of Krystal was a popular meeting place for teenagers in the mid-to-late 1980’s. There was a security guard working the parking lot, dubbed Barney by some, whose (impossible) job it was to keep the traffic moving.
The Friday and Saturday night trifecta for parking lot loitering in Northeast Jackson was Smith-Wills Stadium, Krystal at I-55, and the Post Office at Jacksonian Plaza off Old Canton Road.
