Mission: The Mississippi affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) was established in 1969.
Originally founded to protect the First Amendment rights of civil rights workers who were demonstrating against Jim Crow laws in Mississippi, its mission has expanded to include the protection and enhancement of all freedoms guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.

Annual Events: Join us for our 40th Anniversary Banquet. The keynote speaker is Anthony Romero. He is the Executive of the ACLU (national).
