Mr. Gatti’s was a popular pizza restaurant that was located on Old Canton Road, in the spot that Amerigo Italian Restaurant is located today.
Mr. Gatti’s was popular with young people not only because it specialized in pizza, but also because Mr. Gatti’s had several video games and was designed in such a way that the booth seating provided a reasonable degree of privacy to diners. Mr. Gatti’s was where young people wanted their parents to take them on Friday & Saturday nights.
Gatti’s Pizza is a national chain and owns the GattiTown restaurant & arcade on Lake Harbour Drive in Ridgeland.
