Open seven days a week, the planetarium has Sky Shows, Laser Light Shows, Laser Light Concerts featuring music from legendary bands Pink Floyd and Mannheim Steamroller, and Large-format films.
Sky Shows
Sky Shows feature topics in popular astronomy, presented in an exciting multimedia format that the entire family will enjoy. Programs change frequently throughout the year.
School Programming
School Programming offers curriculum enrichment in astronomy and space science for organized school groups. A variety of subjects is available. Educators may request a Program Guide.
Laser Light Concerts
Laser Light Concerts feature the music of contemporary and classic rock-and-roll artists and the vibrant imagery of the most powerful indoor laser system this side of Las Vegas.
Large-Format Films
A new cinema experience of stunning realism on the giant hemispheric screen with documentary programs ranging from sea to land. The only theater in the State of Mississippi that can offer their visitors this magnificent programming.
The Planetarium is open seven days a week (except major holidays). Times and programming vary. Call or write for current show information.
Holidays
The Planetarium is closed on New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and other City of Jackson holidays.
