Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Roy has been living and working in Jackson since 2003. He first began studying photography in 1991 and received his degree from Mississippi State in fine arts with an emphasis in photography. Since leaving Starkville in 1998 Roy has gained experience in photojournalism, and commercial photography while continuing to refine his personal style of fine art photography.
