The Good Samaritan Center takes applications from low-income families who show a financial need and have not applied with any other organization for Christmas assistance.
Good Samaritan helps approximately 500 children with Christmas gifts each holiday season. If you or your business are already thinking about what to do this holiday season, don’t hesitate to call Good Sam at 601-355-6276 and inquire about how you can help spread some holiday cheer.
Ways to Help During the Holidays
There are a variety of ways that individuals, families, businesses, churches and social groups can participate in The Good Samaritan Center’s Christmas program.
We never mandate exactly how or what a donor should do because we want to make participation available for all individuals, no matter the background or means. Remember all donations are TAX-DEDUCTIBLE!
We do give the following as examples for helping:
- Organize and sponsor a “Drive” for toys, Bibles ,food or clothing
- Buy and donate a toy(s), Bible(s), or food (for holiday baskets)
- Adopt a Child
- Adopt a Family
- Adopt a senior citizen
- Make a monetary contribution
