Squench has been leaving his mark on Jacksonians (and anyone else who stops through) since 1985. Three other tattoo artists have joined him since then, as the demand for and popularity of “ink” and piercings has grown. The most popular piercings done at Squench’s are belly-button piercings, and you can get just about anything tattooed or pierced there, except for hands and face. Another year, another victory for Squench’s. The tattoo parlor, located on East Frontage Road (I-55 South), once boasted bumper stickers that read, “My Mom gets all her tattoos at Squench’s Tattoos LTD.” What a plug! Pick Mom up Tuesday through Saturday and take her to get your own custom-made, matching, mother-daughter/son symbols of love permanently grafted to your upper arms. Or, if your love isn’t of the creative bent, there are plenty of sample tattoos available, pre-designed and ready to choose from.
In business since 1985, Squench’s is sure to have what you’re looking for, from permanent makeup application to body piercing to tattooed portraits (please allow extra time to create a tattoo from a picture), and—in case you went somewhere less reputable last time—they also do corrections and cover-ups.
But heed the wise words of “Wedding Crashers”: “Tattoo on the lower back: might as well be a bull’s-eye.”

Not only is Squench’s No. 1 (again), but they are already also celebrating their 20th year in Jackson! Mr. and Mrs. Squench’s family-oriented tattoo and piercing shop has been around long enough to get the respect and admiration of inked-up Jacksonians all over. But Mrs. Squench attributes all the credit to their customers, “We do tattoos and our customers go tell other people about us.” Evidently—this is Squench’s third year to win this category.

Open Tuesday through Saturday, their award-winning artists can also help you with that customized tattoo of Mom that you’ve always wanted. If you can’t decide what to emblazon your bicep with, there are plenty of flash designs (that means samples of tattoos) to choose from.
In business since 1985, Squench, aka Mitchell Baughman, says David Allen Coe has been in the shop for tatoos,and he’s been to Texas to work on Coe, too. Considering that, Squench’s seems like the place to head if you (or anyone you know) are need of a permanent fix.

I got my navel pierced at Squench’s six years ago when it was all the rage. I would call it a good (if semi-painful) experience. Very courteous and professional, Squench is located on the east frontage road of I-55 south. Open since 1985, the parlor is run by Squench Baughman, country singer David Allen Coe’s personal tattoo artist. Open Tuesday through Saturday, Squench’s award-winning artists can help you with everything from custom (designs that customers create) tattoos to flash (designs created by tattoo artists and kept in photo albums or hung on the walls) to permanent makeup (eyeliner, lipliner, lipstick, etc.) to body piercings.
