The Try Force
The Try Force is many things. It’s 3 guys. It’s the force manifested through the act of attempting. It’s a deep and enduring love of The Legend of Zelda and all it means to life, love, and personal realization.
How It All Began
Walter Young, Jim Henegan, and daniel johnson found themselves twiddling their knobs and pacing their beats upon the departure of Roy Geoghegan from their band Alexanders Dark Heart in the summer of 2005. Roy had moved to Starkville to begin a beautiful life with his bride Renee and now the remaining three were meeting at daniel’s house at Fortification and Monroe to play music and ponder the next.
Who Is The Try Force?
Walter is the drummer. In Alexander’s Dark Heart, Walter played mostly guitar. When the remaining three dark hearts decided to play together, Walter committed himself at the alter of beats assuming the role of rhythm for the new trio.
Jim Henegan is an 80’s cartoon folk hero who wields the guitar in honor of will, fate, and dandelions.

the Sound?
Some say post-rock because they are dodging the question. Once a guy said it reminded him of Sigur Ros and Neil Young’s dinner date to the Electric Company. The Try Force has always liked that last one.
