What is Jackpedia?

HERE’s HOW JACKPEDIA WORKS:
1.) Find the Search Box to the right. Enter the name of your group or business to see if a page already exists.
2.) If it does, visit that page, then click EDIT to make any changes you may want to make. (If you don’t see an EDIT link at the top-right corner, you may need to Log In to the site.)
3.) If you DON’T find a page for your business or organization, then enter that businesses name in the Create/Find Page box. You’ll then be able to click EDIT to create your page.
It’s that easy! (Write admin@jacksonfreepress.com if you’re still having trouble.) Also, the Help with Jackpedia link can be handy, too.
Jackpedia is our annual guide to Jackson, Miss. (Click it in the sidebar to read last year’s electronic flipbook.) But everything won’t fit in the print edition! Scroll down the page and click around to see the vast variety of information about our city posted on this site (and that has great Google placement!). Or, just click the “Random Page” link to the right on every page to see the crazy mix of stuff already posted!
If you don’t see a business, person or institution that ought to be, just log in and add it yourself! It’s easy, like a simpler Wikipedia just for the Jackson metro. Try it! And, yes, we urge you to promote, yourself, your business, your art, your friends. Don’t be shy!
Remember, though, only post if you live or own a local business in or around Jackson, Miss. Otherwise, your posts will be deleted, and we will post you in our spammer hall of shame (which shows up in Google searches, too).
